Science Communication

Science Communication is a process of transferring information about Science and Technology to the masses by using wide variety of media tools like Newspapers, TV, Radio etc., Newspapers are the much older but still highly reputed media tool which offers a total package of information to the public for which they are called as People's University. As We know India is a developing country, but technically, Development is a result of scientific approach and technological advancements in our day to day activities, that can be achieved only by educating our populace about Science. The book discusses about Science communication and Science Journalism along with graphing the existing trends in Newspaper from regional level to International and from English to different Indian languages. The content spread of selected dailies is observed by categorizing the types and formats of Science content, devoted space, page allotments and illustration of pictures etc., with statistical evidences. Also, it suggests the measures to improve the Science coverage. Like this many more features made this work distinct and comprehensive, that can be considered for reference in any studies related to it.
