In science education, learners views of science
influence on learning outcomes. Knowledge about the
views is, therefore, needed for developing science
instruction. In this book, the relationship between
the primary school teacher students and science
education is explored. Students explanations on
physics phenomena were studied as well as their views
of science education found in the narratives written
by students. The possible dependence between the
views of science instruction and the ability to
explain physics phenomena also was explored. This
book provides one insight to the science education
research and to the development of science education.
The study should help shed some more light on science
education research. The book should be especially
useful to professionals in primary school teacher
education, in curriculum planning, and in textbook
writing.
