Sean Andrew Marks (born August 23, 1975 in Auckland) is a New Zealand-American professional basketball player with the NBA''s New Orleans Hornets. He is the first native New Zealander to play in the NBA. After attending Rangitoto College in Auckland, he moved to the United States in 1992 to play for the University of California, where he majored in political science, graduating with a BA degree in 1998. He was drafted 44th overall in the 1998 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks and went on to represent the Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.
