Search for Newer Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Agents

This book is focused on the development of newer non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIAS) which could establish as newer promising NSAIDS. Synthesis of new heterocycles viz. thiazoles, pyrazoles and 2, 4-thiazolidinone-diones possessing COX-2 selective methyl sulphonamide pharmacophore by rational drug design approach is reported. In vitro and in vivo anti-inflammatory screening data of synthesized compounds is recorded.

Dr. Rahul Amrutrao Waghmarewas born in Maharashtra India and had schooling in Latur. He obtained B.Sc., and M.Sc. in Chemistry followed by PhD. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Presently, working as Assistant Professor at Milind College of Science, Nagsenvana Aurangabad.
