Sedgewick is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located 83 km (52 mi) east of Camrose at the junction of Highway 13 and Highway 869. The Canadian Pacific Railway runs through the town.In 2006, Sedgewick had a population of 891 living in 408 dwellings, a 3.0% increase from 2001. The town has a land area of 2.60 km2 (1.00 sq mi) and a population density of 342.2 /km2 (886 /sq mi). Central Alberta (also named Alberta's Heartland) is a region located in the Canadian province of Alberta. Central Alberta is the most densely populated rural area in the province. Agriculture and energy make up an important part of the economy.
