Details

Image segmentation is the most studied problem in computer vision and image processing. This book sheds light on some solutions of intensity in-homogeneity problems based on an optimization Technics of image segmentation which called "active contours".The fundamental idea is to evolve an initial curve under some constraints from a given image to detect object boundaries by minimizing energy. Experimental results demonstrate the high accuracy of segmentation obtained on various synthetic and real gray value images compared with state of the art of Active contours..More detailed can be found in this book.
