Seismic Hazard Analysis

Nepal falls in a seismically high hazard zone of this region. There is not any reliable technique to predict earthquakes in short term so that unimaginable loss of lives and property could be minimized. We must resort to earthquake preparedness to minimize such a loss. Result of Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis carried out at four sites has been presented in this book. The prime objective of this book is to present the status of seismic hazard at different locations so that it would help the planners and policy makers to understand the situation of earthquake hazard in Nepal and take necessary precautions in our development works.
