SELF DETERMINATION MOVEMENT IN INDIA'S NORTHEAST: India is one of the most diverse nations in the world. People with diverse of socio cultural background and identities are living in this part of the world since time immemorial. However, it has been a very difficult task on the part of the Government of India to create the spirit of national integration among all citizens of the country. As a result, several movements were mushrooming in the country. There are many reasons to this development. Economic underdevelopment, poverty, unemployment and the emergence of the concept of self determination are few of these. This book focusses on the self determination movement in the Northeastern part of India.

Author is an Assistant Professor of Ambedkar College in an Indian state of Tripura. He presented his research papers in many seminars. He also published his papers both in national and international journals. His areas of research interest are ethnicity, identity politics, human rights and self determination.
