Sense of Security Improvement in Residential Urban Neighborhoods

Sense of security plays a key role for everything that people do in societies. Nowadays, lack of security increasingly concerns as one of the main social problems in neighborhoods. This book aimed on providing the holistic approach for improving and evaluating sense of security of Johor Bahru's neighborhoods and providing guidelines for its improvement. Therefore, identifying the factors affecting the sense of security in neighborhoods of Johor Bahru, examining the hierarchy of those factors, discovering the effect of demographic factors (age and gender) on sense of security indicators, exploring the effect of socio economy factor (income status) on sense of security indicators and examining the effect of neighborhood's distances to central part of Johor Bahru on sense of security indicators were considered as the objectives of this book.
