Service Delivery in Informal Settlements of Tanzania

This book is the research report from the study conducted in Manzese ward, Dar es Salaam Tanzania. this study assessed the water supply as public utility in informal settlements. Water in those ares is insufficient and of poor quality. Residents in those areas suffer a lot from this scarcity as the result they spend most of their time in searching water instead of concentrating in other socio-economic activities.

Mr. Theodory Frank Theobald is currently working as Assistant Lecturer and Consultant at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Centre for Environment, Poverty and Sustainable Development, Mzumbe University, Tanzania. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Geography and Environmental Management from University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
