During last years the Service-Oriented Architecture
(SOA) has increasingly won attention among
organizations. The goal of SOA is to enable
companies to realize business and technology
advantages through the combination of process
innovation, effective governance, and technology
strategy that resolves around the definition and
reuse of services.
Tight coupling, proprietary solutions and an
increasing number of integration interfaces are the
main issues of the enterprise application
integration today. SOA provides standard-based
technologies and design principles to provide the
solution for these concerns, but there is no
standardized, industry approved implementation
method, which provides structure and organization
throughout the development process, available.
Serivice-Oriented Einterprise Integration Method
(SOEIM) supports the whole process of integration
solution development with its life cycle, defining
tasks and activities necessary to adapt the service-
oriented technologies. It also provides a definition
of the architecture that should be used to design
the system, and addresses the governance issues.
