What if it were possible to change the fate of your favourite characters? Or bring different literary universes together in the same story? This is possible through fan fiction, a fictional text created by a fan of a work. Among the various types of fan fiction is slash fiction. In slash fiction, the characters are gay and their romantic relationships are shown in the story. This book discusses three slashes centred on the characters of English detective Sherlock Holmes and his best friend and sidekick John Watson. As well as discussing the characteristics of fan fiction, this book discusses issues of masculinity, sexuality and translation.
