Autorentext

Tiago A. Santos is Assistant Professor in Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and the Principal Researcher at the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC) in the group 'Safety and Logistics of Maritime Transportation'. He currently coordinates the national research project SHORTSEACHAIN, dealing mainly with short sea shipping integrated in intermodal supply chains.

C. Guedes Soares is Professor of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering in Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and President of the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC). He has participated or coordinated numerous international and national research projects in the field of maritime transportation and ports, including the Concerted Action on Short Sea Shipping, INTRASEAS, TOHPIC, TRAPIST, TRESHIP, FLAGSHIP and EFFORTS EU projects.
