Short-term Scheduling of Generation Units in Power Systems

The work presented in this book, analyzes the short-term scheduling of generation units in the integrated and restructured power systems. The objectives of the book, in the integrated power system is to present more efficient solution methods for solving static and dynamic economic dispatch problems. In the restructured power system, a short-term scheduling frame work for a GenCo considering technical constraints and uncertainties is presented and new indexes for evaluating the price forecasting methods are proposed.
