Details

The work described in this book entitled "Significance of ambidentate ligands in coordination chemistry" deals mainly with the syntheses, characterisation and thermal activity of Ni(II) and Cd(II) complexes of nitrite and thiocyanate ligands and co-ligands of different steric effect with an overview on the coordination chemistry of nitrite and thiocyanate complexes of transition and post-transition metals and their applications in various fields. I must take responsibility of any unintentional oversights and errors, which might have crept in, in spite of all precautions. The objectives of the present investigation are the synthesis and structural characterization of linkage isomers of the ambident ligands, especially nitrite and thiocyanate to rationalize the role of different factors such as steric and electronic influence of the co-ligands, temperature and solvent on the binding mode of ambident ligands primarily.

Autorentext

I, Dr. Averi Guha, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, Surendranath Evening College has 16 years of experience in teaching at undergraduate level.
