Every year, approximately 1.2 million people die asa result of road traffic crashes, yet thepsychosocial burden of fatal crashes remains notablyneglected. Lauren Breen, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the Centre for Social Research, Edith Cowan University, Australia. Her research interests centre on applied social research in the domains of health and wellbeing, with specific interests in bereavement, health services, families, disability, and wellness.
