Sino-American Clash of Hegemony

After three decades of economic expansion, China has become the world's largest economy after the United States, as well as a global powerhouse in investment and trade. In economic history, 2018 will be remembered as the year in which the ruling US power began a trade war with the rising power that is China.What indeed lies behind this "trade war" and any other tactics of war hitherto employed?Given China's current health situation and the increasingly tense relations between China and the United States, might this health crisis be linked to another war tactic, alongside economic, technological and cyber warfare? If one considers the patriotic, even nationalistic commitment of both presidents of "Making their Respective Nation Great Again", it is obvious that neither superpower is willing to give up any relief, the ultimate goal being the question - Who will be the world's leading power in two or three years?
