Managers are a key factor in the development of corporate culture. This is particularly true for managers in basic and middle management. They are in close contact with employees and are confronted with daily tasks in routine operations. The demands placed on managers are very diverse. However, these are often viewed differently by employees and managers. To avoid frustration, it is crucial to fill management positions with the right people. Certain skills and competencies are necessary to fulfil this task. Furthermore, it is usually difficult for managers to evaluate and assess the skills and competencies of their employees for management tasks. However, this is essential for the development of employees towards management tasks. In most cases, the decision on suitability for a career as a manager is based on the subjective assessments of managers.
