SLOPE STABILITY ANALYSIS AND DESIGN IN AN OPEN CAST MINE

This book represents a slope stability analysis and design for a new open cast mine, Elbistan-Çöllolar in Turkey. In depth back analysis of a failure of a close mine field was investigated and laboratory experiments had been conducted and parameters required for slope stability analysis are determined.Comparison of several slope stability analysis principles and programs are considered and discussed.

Autorentext

The author was born in Ankara/Turkey in 1983. He was graduated from Middle east Technical University(METU) in 2006 and had MSc degree in 2008. He is still a research assistant in rock mechanics laboratory in METU. His research interests are rock and soil mechanics, numerical modelling in geomechanics, slope stability and tunneling.
