SMALL CHANGE

"Sammy's in Love" was published in Eyetalian Magazine (Toronto). "The Best of Friends" won first prize in an international fiction contest sponsored by Castalia Bookmakers Inc. and appeared in the Summer/Fall 1991 issue of Wellspring. Those two stories, "Pony Express," and "Rita McCrae" were all included in the chapbook, Four of a Kind, (Pachyderm Press, Winnipeg, 1994). "Small Change" is an edited excerpt from of a novel in progress. I'd like to thank the Manitoba Arts Council for a grant that allowed me to work full time on the first draft of the novel from which "Small Change" is taken, and my daughters, Natasha and Tamara, for sharing so much of their music industry experience, with Dash and the Dots, The Pursuit of Happiness, and their own bands, The Fatales and Daughters of Eve.
