This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5 th International Conference on Smart Grid and Innovative Frontiers in Telecommunications, SmartGIFT 2020, held in Chicago, USA, in December 2020. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was held virtually.
