In all cultures, an attractive smile in modern society is often considered an asset in interviews, work settings, and social interactions. Smile esthetics has become a primary concern for patients and orthodontists because it is a primary reason why patients seek orthodontic treatment. Tooth alignment is a more important factor than the eyes forevaluating facial esthetics. Therefore, contemporary orthodontists must consider esthetic smiles by managing dentition and soft tissues.
