Social Business: A Path towards Sustainable Development

Throughout the world, there are huge problems such as threatening the lives and livelihood of humanity. Where there are problems, there are people who want to fix them. But charity has shown to be unsustainable and ineffective in creating positive change in the long run. Some social entrepreneurs have chosen to go beyond the corporate social responsibility by incorporating the social mission into the core business. This new model of business is known as social business which seeks to sustainably create social value and it comes from economic and environmental value. So, social business is actually the source of socio-economic and environmental development. For the country like Bangladesh the sustainable development is very important and this can be possible by using the aspects of social business and this is the main objective of this study to understand the relationship among social business, sustainability and the amount of contribution of the areas of social business.
