Social Communication and Health Programs Implementation in Chad
Details
Malaria is an endemic outbreak that affects tropical regions but it seems to be overlooked even by communities concerned. Yet, it killed many people in tropical and subtropical zones. In 2021, there were an estimated 247 million cases of malaria worldwide. The estimated number of malaria deaths stood at 619 000 in 2021. The WHO African Region carries a disproportionately high share of the global malaria burden. In 2021, the region was home to 95% of malaria cases and 96% of malaria deaths. Children under 5 accounted for about 80% of all malaria deaths in the Region (WHO, 2022). This work examines the perception of the participants to the study through social communication over the health programmes implementation in Chad, especially the case of malaria in Chari Baguirmi Region. The social communication provides to public a way of information exchange activity which requires, gathering and learning about how people perceive and vehicle messages in order to sustain their healthy status.
