The very nature of Social History causes it to overlap with other social sciences & especially with sub-fields of Sociology, besides history itself. Political history left aside, many subfields of history are involved (like the past stories of miscellaneous minorities pertaining to a given country; past times of education, family, labor force, entertainment-and-leisure, feministic currents, gender understanding, urban development, rural life; as well as culture, religious practices, population studies, custom-and-tradition world of various geographies of the world!In this particular book; following a general formulation and a concise history of the discipline; the country called Turkey (Türkiye) is chosen as subject matter and scrutinized in many respects, accordingly.

Dr. Sinan Çaya has been teaching the (indeed popular) course of "Social Psychology" as an elective to all willing undergraduates at stinye Unhiversity, in Istanbul. Dr. Çaya is also affiliated with Marmara University where he provides non-technical-electives for undergraduates at the Faculty of Engineering.
