Social Media, Democratic Participation and National Reforms

This book explores the role of social media in engaging young people in democratic processes in Nigeria. It argues that while social media can be effectively used for mobilization, it does not inherently promote democratic values. The book emphasizes the unequal nature of social media platforms in fostering democratic participation, highlighting the importance of understanding youth mobilization within cycles of contestation rather than as solely technology-driven. Also, the book discusses the necessity for Nigerian public service to adapt to changing governance demands for improved efficiency and productivity in response to environmental dynamics.
