Social mobility

Social mobility is studied according to several approaches. It is studied in relation to social stratification, that is, in relation to the different social hierarchies of which groups or societies are made up. Social mobility is also studied in relation to the social mechanisms or determinants that make one become a member of such and such a social class, a worker or an engineer, a typist or a teacher, a bank employee, a doctor, an industrialist. Social mobility is also studied in relation to education. This type of study attempts to identify the impact of the development of education on social mobility. Social mobility is also studied in relation to occupational status. This type of study attempts to identify the determinants of social mobility for those who work in different jobs or occupations. Mobility is also studied in relation to the theoretical, methodological and technical research frameworks used.
