Social Theories Applied to Sociology

This book is a refined selection of suggestive texts by authors of social thought, known as classics in sociology, with the ultimate aim of contributing to the understanding and debate around theories and all the procedures that enable sociological work. Marx, Durkheim and Weber are brought into this proposal, exploring concepts and analyses of the social, whose usefulness is essential. In sociology, theory is an instrument for understanding reality. When we try to make generalizations or laws about a given reality, we have a theory, a way of understanding reality. In order to better understand the theories that underpin social issues, this text seeks to present the main statements of the main classical authors.
