Socio Economic Indicators

This book is intended to provide a general framework of socio economic indicators for industrial labourers of Pali District of Rajasthan. More specifically, it is aimed at those with a particular interest in the socioeconomic environment. Major objectives of this text are to identify the income source of industrial employee especially labour working in large and small scale industries, to explore the other benefits of the labourers those were given by their employers, to clarify the wags rate for different level of labourers, to study in- depth about the basic needs of labourers. The socio- economic condition of industrial labour in Pali District is miserable. The living standard of industrial labour is far below than human development index lay down by the United Nations. The study covered a limited population of the industrial labourers working in Pali District.
