Sociological Research

Sociology is one of the most attractive social sciences today. Its functionality in understanding the social problems occurring with modernity is the most important reason for this interest. Sociology is a science examining the social life of human, social groups, social institutions, and social relations. In this sense, sociology examines all socially qualifiable phenomena. In parallel to the general tendency in the world, sociology studies draw great attention also in Turkey. Sociology generally trying to understand the world we live in is a science that could discuss almost every social issue. Urbanization, migration, culture, identity, consumption globalization, social problems social change, etc. are among the subjects taking place in the wide range of sociology. This study mentioning the research and issues with sociological content and conducted in Turkey in 2020 examines subjects such as urbanization, consumption, ethnicity, culture, identity, and globalization.
