Details

This book begins by discussing how sociology emerged in the west and goes on to describe various contributions made by classical thinkers to sociology. The book also discusses how sociology emerged in Tanzania and provides readers with an insight into common social problems haunting Tanzanians and how these problems impact on day to day lives of the people. The conceptual challenge offered by the book is for students to identify discrete sub-disciplines to specialize in their studies of sociology rather than studying sociology in general. Specialization aims at moulding them into problem solvers and masters in their area of study.
