This book investigates adverse effects of sociopolitical instability caused by socio-political and economic causes on economic growth and inflation in Sri Lankan. Sri Lanka has gone astray around 4.5 percent of economic growth annually due to the conflicts and war between and within the communities during 1960-2005. It is equal to achieved growth rate annually. Socio political causes have been dominant determinants of economic growth and inflation in Sri Lanka.

Dr Selvarathinam Santhirasegaram has been working as Senior lecturer at department of economics, university of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He specialized in political economics and monetary economics. He has been awarded PhD at HUST, China. He has published more than twenty research articles in index journal as well as local ordinary Journal.
