Alongside his academic duties, he is a project manager and a professional engineer. He received the Best Researcher Award by the Ministry of Road and Urban Development (MRUD) in 2016. He has been the chairman of international/national civil engineering conferences, as well as chairing numerous sessions himself. He is a prolific author and is part of editorial boards or acts as a reviewer for many scientific journals. He currently holds 15 patents and has also received many awards for his research.
