Foued Chabane est un éminent universitaire dans le domaine du génie mécanique, spécialisé dans les énergies renouvelables. Il a obtenu son diplôme d'ingénieur en 2004, puis un diplôme de magister en génie mécanique avec une spécialisation en énergie en 2009. En 2015, il obtient son doctorat et en 2018, il reçoit une HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches).
