Solubility: Significance and Techniques for its Enhancement

Solubility is one of the most critical preformulation properties that have a significant impact on performance of a molecule. To achieve desired pharmacological response solubility is one of the important parameters that is responsible for achieving desired concentration of drug in systemic circulation. Poor solubility imparting slow dissolution of drugs, has been a major challenge in drug discovery and development.Therefore to enhance the solubility and dissolution of poorly soluble drugs a number of approaches have been developed. This piece of work is the compilation of techniques to enhance the dissolution of drugs.
