Details

This book presents the application of a mathematical model in the process of decision-making on the subject of components supply of an APS (Advanced Planning System) production-programming model in a textile garment industry. This is the report of the Research Project: Information Technologies for the integration of manufacturing, with emphasis on production scheduling. The objective is to integrate and manage the manufacturing materials supply from the cutting process, having as a principle the sequencing criteria previously defined in the production programming model. The management occurs proactively, as the programmer identifies critical items of factory supply by making the necessary interventions. From the combination of supply and demand, the production management focuses on finding an overall increase in company productivity both by eliminating the lack of raw material in the manufacture process, and by minimizing the excess of cut material according to standard predetermined cutting setup types.
