Solvation of Some -amino Acids in Aquo-organic Binary Solvents

The study embodied in the present book entitled "Solvation of Some -amino Acids in Aquo-organic Binary Solvents" deals with the determination of the various thermodynamic properties such as solubility, molar volume, Gibbs free energy, enthalpy and entropy of solutions of a series of homologous -amino acids with graded increase of -CH2- (hydrophobic moiety) group; like glycine, DL-alanine, DL- -amino butyric acid and DL-nor-valine in aqueous mixtures of protic ethylene glycol (EG), quasi-aprotic 2-methoxyethanol (ME) and dipolar aprotic 1, 2-dimethoxyethane (DME) in three different chapters.

DR. SANJAY ROY, M.Sc. in Chemistry in 2005 from Visva-Bharati University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the same university in 2014. He has more than ten years teaching experience and published more than 38 research papers in reputed Journals. Presently he is working as Assistant Professor at Shibpur Dinobundhoo Institution (College).
