Some Adaptional Aspects In Three Cultivars Of Triticum aestivum L.
Details
This investigation was carried out on three cultivars of Triticum aestivum L. namely : Sakha93, Giza168 and Jizan baladi. The Plants were grown in hydroponic solution and treated by ion-deficient cultures under osmotic potential and Pb concentrations. Evaluation of cultivated plant resistance to drought, salinity, ion-deficiency and ion toxicity through measurable plant parameters were concerned with : 1- Growth characteristics of comparative cultivars under salinity and lead stresses. 2- Effect of the experimented factors on the changes of chlorophyll content. 3- The changes in the metabolites (soluble sugars, free amino acids and total soluble proteins) of plants. 4- The content of specific elements (Na+, K+ and Pb+2). 5- The efflux of some nutrients from the plant roots to the root medium of ion deficient cultures.
