Some Personal Attributes of Workers in a Workplace

In an increasingly volatile and uncertain world, contemporary work has become increasingly changeable, uncertain and market driven due to technological advancement, globalization and competition. One of the greatest assets an organisation can have is a workforce with the agility to survive unexpected crisis and to find opportunity to thrive in the face of potentially terminal events. This arsenal of coping mechanism possessed by employees is believed to make the most of the human capital that characterizes the modern organisation and offers one of the greatest prospects for differentiating the successful organisation on the world stage. This book examines the influence of employee's' resilience, hope and optimism on employees' civility and citizenship behaviour.
