Sources of Law in Ghana

Generally, the formulation of laws, where laws originated from, its enforcement forms part of sources of law. The Ghanaian Legal System is a British adopted English Legal System in 1876 by the Supreme Court Ordinance. The Ghanaian sources of law is stipulated in the 1992 republican constitution of Ghana. The sources of Ghanaian law indicated at Article 11 of the 1992 republican constitution as follows: The laws of Ghana shall comprise; this constitution; enactment made by or under the authority of the Parliament established by this constitution; any orders, rules and regulations made by any person or authority under a power conferred by this constitution; the existing law (written and unwritten laws of Ghana that existed immediately before the coming into force of the 1992 constitution; the common law (English common law, English doctrines of equity and the rules of customary law. Richard Attu wurde 1983 in einem kleinen Dorf namens Nkomi-Kajaji im Bezirk Sene East in Ghana als Sohn von Joseph Attu Ladan und der verstorbenen Susana Abena Bibio geboren. Derzeit ist er Kandidat für den Master of Law (LLM) an der University of London. Seinen Bachelor-Abschluss in Rechtswissenschaften erwarb er am Mountcrest University College.
