SPECIAL FOCUS ON REFINERY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A case study, which involved a survey personal interview and field observation, was conducted in Miankaleh refinery that is in North of Iran in Mazandaran province. Oil Produce capacity in this refinery 120.000 barrel per day. This refinery has Wastewater Treatment System and decline equipments of air pollution. The most amount of air pollution in this refinery is relevant to non-burnet Hydrocarbons and hydro sulfur. Wastewaters in this refinery after treatment enter to Miankaleh wetland, but this wetland is a protected area and animal habitat, as a result, we should try retaining the Miankaleh. This refinery does not have Environmental Management System and this is a new work and method. Performing this system is a management objective. Establishing EMS in this paper is a practice for doing Environmental Management System in Mazandaran refinery, at the end of thesis reach to suggestions. Miankaleh refinery is directed with traditional approach system and we improve and extol that to modern Environmental management system. In developing country with using EMS, the main objective is reach to Sustainable Development.

He obtained her bachelor studies of science degree in geography at Universiti of Mashhad in 1994. He was educated (master) at Shahid Beheshti University Iran in the field of Mass urban planning in1998. On graduating in July 2007 he enrolled in the PHD program in Gis and Geomatic Engineering in UPM.
