Sport Event Management
Details
Sports events have become catalysts for territorial transformation. Implementing a sports-focused territorial marketing strategy can bolster international tourism competitiveness and accelerate regional development processes. This study aims to investigate the role of sports as a key social integrator within communities and explores how territorial marketing can drive economic and social development. The research is structured into three main sections: Marketing Applied to the Territory, Synergies between Stakeholders and Territory, and The Role of Sports Events and Their Impacts.Through the exploration of a case study, the research highlights sports events as pivotal tools for territorial development and promotion. Additionally, using Stakeholder Analysis, the study identifies key stakeholders who articulate expectations regarding the event's benefits. The findings suggest that strategic planning and territorial marketing, informed by stakeholder input, can significantly contribute to the socio-economic revitalization of local areas. Future research will focus on local development through comprehensive planning and marketing activities, enhancing the socio-economic landscape.
