Sports and Physical Education

This book addresses some issues related to Physical Education and sports that need to be discussed and rethought. Physical Education, from its inclusion in schools, where it provides systematic physical activity for children and young people, to the practice of sports for performance, still faces many difficulties and is undervalued in our country. This devaluation is caused by multiple factors, some of which are addressed throughout the text. The aim is to provide reflections for professionals working in Physical Education and sport, so that we can give new meaning to the practice of this discipline, which is of great importance for human development.

Werlayne Stuart Soares Leite. Abschluss in Sportwissenschaft an der Bundesuniversität von Ceará (Brasilien) und Spezialisierung an der Universität Porto (Portugal). Derzeit ist er festangestellter Lehrer bei der Stadtverwaltung von Fortaleza und der Landesregierung von Ceará. Außerdem ist er Autor und Gutachter wissenschaftlicher Artikel für verschiedene internationale Zeitschriften.
