Into the World of Alien species of India on account of the global perspective. What we know and what we need to know. The book provides an account of the species which are evolved to conquer the endemic centres of India, last remaining footholds of past radiations/biodiversity. These rich biodiversity centres will be replaced with the better-adapted lineages in an ever-changing contemporary environment and within a few hundred years this planet will have not more than lineages of domestic weeds, and some invasive insect species evolved to fill a converted and mostly desertified environment left in the wake of non-environmentally adaptive human cultural evolution.

Dr. Syed Sajad RazviCompleted his Ph.D. from Forest Research Institute (FRI) and is currently working at ICAR-CITH Center on an all India coordinated project 'National Innovations on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA)' as Res.Associate. The project aims to enhance the resilience of Indian Agriculture to climate change and climate vulnerability.
