With the increasing concern for humans to return to nature, natural materials-based treatment approaches are becoming increasingly attractive. Jamu, a common name of Indonesian traditional medicines, are made from a mixture of several plants. The plants are chosen so that the Jamu has the desired efficacy. This book presents a statistical modeling approach to understand the pattern of the herbs usage and its relation to the efficacy of Jamu.

I am a lecturer in Department of Statistics, Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia. I took my PhD in Information Science from Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. My research interest is about Jamu informatics which is basically about statistical contribution in explaining the mechanism of Jamu.
