Status and Problems of Dalit Women in Textile Industries in Dindigul

Dalit women labour has been an important segments of the workforce of India. With the changing socio-economic scenario, women's productive roles have assumed various and new dimensions. Dalit women rise to many problems and difficulties for them by way of exploitation, discrimination and dismal working conditions. The problems of Dalit women difficulties got multiplied due to their peculiar social, biological and psychological conditions and also their illiteracy and ignorance. Dalit women need some security and protection through law. The constitution provided for equal rights and privileges for men and Dalit women and made special provisions for Dalit women also the Government undertook various ameliorative legislative measures to provide security and protection to Dalit women labour. It is immense use of reference for purpose of Humanities / Social Sciences as well as science subjects. These sources of knowledge use for academicians, research scholars, development personnel in GOs, NGOs, human rights organizations, social welfare societies for the formulating policies and development programmes.
