Stem cell culture: Techniques and protocols

This handbook includes experiments of stem cell and regenerative medicine subject. The book contains total 10 experiments. The purpose of this practical handbook is to educate interested students about the detailed methodology of stem cell experiments. Along with methodology this book covers; an aim, objective and schematic representation of related experiment.Book starts from the basic culturing of cells and furthermore explains detailing of isolation of stem cells, their characterization, introduction or basic handling of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). It provides compositions of different cell culture media as per the cell requirement in the tabular format. Diagrammatic format of any practical eases the process of learning. Hence, diagrammatic representation has been provided for each experiment. We hope this book will inspire students to perform stem cell experiments and invent new ideas in the field of regenerative medicine.

ODr. Arpita Pandey Tiwari está actualmente a trabalhar como Professor Associado no Departamento de Biotecnologia Médica e Medicina Regenerativa e Células Estaminais, Sociedade de Educação D.Y. Patil, Instituição Deemed to be University, Kolhapur. Concluiu o seu mestrado em genética humana na Patiala da Universidade de Punjabi e recebeu a Medalha de Ouro da Universidade em 2009.
