Stepwise Tasks Structure

The purpose of this study is to facilitate an understanding of the meaning and necessity of the design process, the role of creativity in the design process and the nature of design methods that are to be used to support the design process in design and engineering disciplines. Via a literary review, empirical studies and evaluations, this book introduce the Stepwise Tasks Structure (STS) model as a descriptive, innovative and mental-based design process plan that is an integration of the creative-based process and the engineering-based design process for product development that helps designers manage and plan the design process.

Mehran Fateminia,holds a Ph.D of Industrial Design,is a freelance Industrial designer in Tehran, where he helps to guide the research and design of novel products for some of companies.He is currently assistant professor at the Tehran University and lecturer in design methodology, and design management with a depth of expertise in design thinking.
