This text is a culmination of a graduate research work that investigated the role of strategic planning on organizational development in a bid to address the numerous challenges facing organizations today. Forces such as shifting customer tastes and changing technology among others continue to exert pressure on modern day organizations. This work discusses the role of strategic planning on organizational development and shows the extent to which strategic planning has been utilized in Moi University. It also suggests ways in which strategic planning can be improved so as to enhance organizational development. In addition,the text makes reference to certain aspects of public administration and their role in organizational development.
