Strategic Vocabulary Learning

Vocabulary is one of the main components of language and vocabulary learning plays an important role in language learning.However, learning vocabulary as one part of language is difficult, complicated and time consuming. Therefore, any procedure that might make it a little easier, faster or more successful needs to be taken seriously (Swan, 2008).Hence, the present study investigated EFL learners' strategy use in the hope to find out the vocabulary learning strategies which are more effective in expanding vocabulary size.
